silverskin variety. late season. mild early after harvest becoming more flavorful as curing proceeds. long shelf life 10-12 months. beautiful firm white bulbs. 14-18 cloves with a few smaller center cloves.
SILVERSKIN GARLIC
These are the longest storing garlic. 10-12 months. These mature later than other garlics and signals when they are ready by falling over. They can be very hot. They are most likely to produce large bulbs if planted in the spring, however, in Ohio we plant ours in the Fall. Has approximately 10-20 cloves per bulb and 60-70 cloves per pound.
