Garlic bulbs undergo a gradual maturation process that occurs underground, developing from individual cloves into mature bulbs ready for harvesting. The length of time required for garlic maturation depends on the variety, weather conditions, and planting time. On average, it takes about 8 to 10 months for garlic to mature fully.


Signs of Garlic Bulb Maturation:

To determine if your garlic bulbs are ready for harvest, keep an eye out for the following signs:
  1. Leaf Browning:
    As the garlic plant nears maturity, the leaves will start to turn yellow or brown from the bottom up. This browning indicates that the plant is redirecting its energy towards bulb development.

  1. Timing:

  2. Loosening Soil:

  3. Lifting Bulbs:
